By Jim Boyce | Grace Vineyard gives a special wine just before Chinese New Year to employees, customers and others with whom it has a relationship. It’s a fun and fruity blend, the kind that goes down easy during a holiday meal. And it has a personal touch: a member of the Chan family, which own Grace, picks a different poem to feature on the label each year.
This annual treat also makes me happy because, except for last year, it is under screw cap! It’s a closure that I wish were far more common among China producers and that would be handy during the upcoming holiday banquets where the wine doth flow freely.
In any case, Grace has given away this special annual wine for six years and it’s a gesture that further endears people to the brand. Just a nice example of how to keep your fans happy.
