Wine jobs in China | Winemakers wanted in Ningxia, Qinghai

By Jim Boyce | A pair of opportunities for adventurous wine-makers in China. Wineries in the Ningxia and Qinghai regions, both in the central party of the country, are in need of consultants, says Lilian Carter, who is based even farther west at winery Wangzhong in Xinjiang. Carter is a regular fixture on China’s wine scene now, with a CV that includes a stint at Pernod Ricard operation Helan Mountain in Ningxia, and is helping a few wineries source qualified personnel.

Basic duties at both operations include four to six weeks of work during the September harvest period, starting in 2017, plus one to three short trips per year during key stages of the wine-making process.  The focus is mostly red wine and previous China experience is a bonus. Interested parties should contact Carter at lilian.carter (at) vinemark.com.au.
