Chris Ruffle of Shandong province winery Treaty Port, which was built in the style of a Scottish Castle, will talk about his recently published book “A Decent Bottle of Wine in China” this Tuesday in Shanghai. The book gives Ruffle’s take on setting up the winery, getting that first harvest done and keeping things going. The talk, organized by the Royal Asiatic Society, will be held at the Radisson Xingguo Hotel from 7 PM to 9 PM and cost rmb100 (rmb70 for members), which includes a glass of wine or soda. By the way, if you ever get to Treaty Port, check out the billiard room–it’s a beauty.
