A book called The Wine Value Chain in China: Global Dynamics, Marketing and Communication in the Contemporary Chinese Wine Market  — yep, that’s a long title — is the works.
Editors Roberta Capitello (University of Verona), Steve Charters (Groupe ESC Dijon Bourgogne), David Menival (NEOMA Business School, Reims) and Jessica Yuan (Texas Tech University) seek “manuscripts that provide new insights into the wine sector in China with special attention to wine consumer behaviour, wine supply chain analysis, the regulatory context, new market opportunities, wine tourism and impacts on Western wine supply chains.”
As someone who reads a lot of foreign coverage of the China wine market, I hope the editors tap into some of the knowledgeable trade people actually based in this country. I’m not sure if their call for papers has been translated into Chinese, but it would seem like a wise move to ensure reaching the broadest range of experts.
Anyway, for those interested in contributing a chapter to this book, send your proposals to Roberta Capitello – roberta.capitello (at) univr.it — by April 20.
