Long Finish: Stay in the Presidential Suite after Beijing Hilton’s Food & Wine Experience

Your wine will have no problem breathing with this much space.

Hilton Beijing will hold one of my favorite and one of the city’s longest-running annual booze events on October 27 when the bottles are opened for the fifteenth annual Food & Wine Experience. More than 1000 wines to sample, plus spirits, beers and snacks, plus seminars on coffee and chocolate, plus… did I mention more than 1000 wines to sample?

For one reader, it gets even better, because I’m running a contest that gives the winner two tickets to the event, dinner at the Hilton’s One East or Elements restaurant, breakfast next day and — in a major upgrade for last year — an overnight stay in the presidential suite.

In other words, while I’m dragging myself home after six hours of sipping, some lucky person will be chilling in the living room above and then sleeping in the comfy bed below, with a tasty breakfast to dream about.

To enter the contest, called ‘Party of Five’, you need to tell us who you would bring along to the presidential suite. Get the contest details and see the entries so far by going to my sibling blog, Beijing Boyce — click here.

The deadline for entries is next Monday at noon. We will also have nine pairs of tickets as runner-up prizes.

Whether you win or not, I highly recommend getting to the Hilton Beijing on October 27. The event runs from 1 PM to 7 PM, which gives you plenty of time to sample plenty of wines for the rmb280 entry fee, and includes either lunch or dinner. For more details, see the poster below.
